About Beg Pets
The Founder
In 2022 the founder, Alyssa Ludwig was brainstorming ways to benefit pets across the United States. The biggest propellant of her goal was Alyssa's beloved dog, Shasta. With a recently diagnosed liver tumor, it was a priority to give Shasta the best last few months of her life. Showering her with gifts, treats, and memories. Through this difficult time, Alyssa attended several flea markets, farmers markets, and craft fairs obtaining high-quality, handmade goods for Shasta. It was through these interactions that Alyssa decided to embark on the creation of Beg Pets. An online marketplace for locally crafted, locally sold goods - providing a marketplace for small-scale businesses to expand their reach and allow local buyers to find goods they may not have otherwise. Through Beg Pets, creators meet consumers across the United States, and pets get high-quality, made-with-love products to help make every pet's life the best it can be!

With the rise in pet ownership since 2019, there comes a rise in pet needs, pet illness to be cared for, and an influx of owners who want to make the most of their pet's life! The Vision
Beg Pets wants to help connect pet owners with local vendors across America. Many of our vendors were found at farmer's markets, craft fairs, and pet shows! Through this connection, small businesses will grow and be able to start their own stores for their own brands! By purchasing products from Beg Pets, you are supporting local vendors as well as a community of small businesses. Business Growth
Through several conversations with shop owners and market-goers, it became clear that there was one struggle - connection. Business owners could not afford to open a website and customers could not find the businesses they enjoy when it was time to get a new product. Beg Pets offers an outlet for small businesses to boost their connection to customers. We make it possible to have 24/7 access to a shop that otherwise may have only been at the markets a handful of times throughout the year. This allows businesses to grow their sales throughout the year and expand accessibility to customers! On Beg Pets, vendors can keep their booth open year-round, add new stock and products, and continue sales throughout the year! We hope to be a valuable stepping stone for our small businesses!

Beg Pets wants to help support local shelters across America by donating products for pets in need. Local shelters are constantly in need of enrichment items for their resident animals. Beg Pets wants to partner with local shelters to showcase animals in need of a home while giving those pets love and care in the meantime!
